When it comes to a special relationship, Second Harvest and ECHOage can boast quite a bit. Since 2008 (that’s 10 fun years of working together) ECHOage kids and families have helped to provide over 400,000 meals to those who needed this support. Today our heroes are every child who has ever chosen Second Harvest to be the recipient of the funds raised at their birthday party. Look what you’ve accomplished! Ten years of working together, ten years of food recovery, ten years of donations, ten years of kids standing up for what they believe in: everyone should have enough food to eat. Over the last 10 years ECHOage kids and families have provided over $200,000.00 for Second Harvest. Monthly funds have added up to thousands of young kids in Canada who care about feeding others. ECHOage is so proud of the work we do with Second Harvest and know that the next 10 years will be even more exciting.

Second Harvest is the largest food rescue organization in Canada and a global thought leader on food recovery. With a goal to drastically reduce the amount of food wasted while ensuring people have access to the good, healthy food they need for success, Second Harvest works across the supply chain from farmer to retail to capture surplus food before it ends up in the landfill and negatively impacts our environment.
