It’s True! ECHOage Has Been Selected As A Family Choice Award Winner.

We wanted to share the good news and thank the families from all over the USA and Canada who chose to ECHOage their kids’ birthday parties long before most people knew that there actually was a better way to celebrate.

The Family Choice Awards Recognizes the best in travel, children, parenting and pet products and resources. This award program is one of the most coveted, family friendly consumer awards programs in the nation.

It may not be an Oscar – but for these two moms who brought the idea of birthday giving and getting to life – we humbly thank our own academy of families, friends and children who encouraged us to jump in, take a chance and not turn back.

A giant thank you from us, to all of you!

For Brielle’s 9th birthday she got iPod accessories, books and clothes AND Make-A-Wish got $132.00.

Balance beams, back bends and birthday cake were the main attraction at this birthday party but Brielle and her friends also made giving a part of this birthday celebration.

Screen Shot 2013-02-20 at 9.14.16 PMHere is what Brielle had to say about her charity choice.   “I chose the Make-a-Wish Foundation because I wanted to help sick kids my age, older and younger to make their last wish come true and help them go places and meet their heroes.”

Looks like we found our real hero in you, Brielle.

Thank you for starting your ECHO at such a young age.

For her birthday, Tessa got books and a shopping spree at a local toy store. The George Hull Centre for Children and Families got $180.

From the outside, this birthday party was just like every other birthday party: bowling, balloons and birthday cake, but Tessa had her own thoughts about how her 8th birthday party could become so much more.

Tessa's 8th Birthday Party

“I chose to support the George Hull Centre for Children and Families because I wanted to help kids who are sad or angry and don’t know what to do.  I’ve never done an ECHOage party before but I’m really glad I did it because it feels good to help people and I still get to have a fun party with all of my friends – we went bowling!”

The Centre provides professional consultation, support and family treatment for a broad range of problems affecting the mental health of children and youth.

Happy 8th birthday to you Tessa!  We hope that you had fun shopping at Mastermind Toys and Indigo.  We would love to hear all about the gifts and books that you chose.

You’ve already made this year extra special by reaching out and helping other young kids in need feel better!

Hockey for Heart. For Ryan’s 7th Birthday, He Got Skylanders and Lego Ninjago and CARE Scored $390.

For Ryan’s birthday party he chose to support the charity CARE. Ryan’s Mom said, “After viewing CARE’s commercial, Ryan was moved to action when he saw how one hand can help another.”

Great things certainly can happen when we lend a hand and Ryan’s All-Star line up of birthday buddies helped CARE achieve their goals or defending dignity and fighting poverty.  Way to go Ryan.

Thanks Ryan for being such a great team player and for lending your hand to this very meaningful charity.  We hope that you have tons of fun playing and inventing with your Skylanders and Lego Ninjago.

Happy 7th Birthday Ryan.
