It’s simple when you’re 4

He’s only 4 but that doesn’t matter. He’s able to help. He’s able to choose. He’s shown us that kids can do way more than adults think.
Why did he choose this fantastic cause?
“I love monkeys! I want them to be safe,” says our hero Abel.
Jane Goodall Institute of Canada is founded by Dr. Jane Goodall who knew there was more than meets the eye.
Dr. Jane Goodall first set foot in what is now known as Gombe Stream National Park in 1960 when she launched her pioneering research with wild chimpanzees. She was only 26 years old. Her research project was unlike any other and has taught us so much about our closest cousins in the animal kingdom.
Jane continues her work today by travelling an average of 300 days per year speaking in packed auditoriums, school gymnasiums, and conference centres about the threats facing chimpanzees, other environmental crises, and her reasons for hope that we will ultimately solve the problems that we have imposed on the earth.
Everywhere she goes, Jane urges audiences to recognize their personal power and responsibility to effect positive change through consumer action, lifestyle change and activism.

JASPER SUPPORTED RIGHT TO PLAY CANADA
Jasper cares. He cares about kids who live all over the world and want to play. He chose Right To Play Canada and we’d like to share his reasons with you. In his own words:
“I chose Right To Play Canada because my birthday is near the olympics and my dad told me that they do a lot of stuff with and for the olympics for kids who can’t normally play.”
A 3 year old girl with the wisdom of ages
Posted: February 13, 2018 Filed under: Birthday Gifts, Charity, Charity birthday party, ECHOage Heroes and Amazing Birthday Ideas, Gifts, the pine project Leave a commentGemma is 3 years old. She chose The p.i.n.e. project for her ECHOage charity and she got a trampoline.
The p.i.n.e. project’s mission is to build healthy communities deeply connected to the natural environment.
To achieve this they deliver programs focused on building relationships between self, others, and the environment. Using music, drama, storytelling, naturalist studies, stewardship, survival skills, outdoor adventures, intergenerational learning, games, and play they weave a “culture of nature connection”. This empowers their mantra: be more, need less.
Sweet Gemma chose this amazing cause. In her words:
“I chose this charity because the pine project lets kids be in nature.”
Gemma is our hero. She’s a hero today, and she’s a hero for our future. Nature is where kids should be. This 3 year old knows.

She chose from over 200 Canadian charities and landed on our wonderful partner: World Wildlife Fund.
In the words of 5 year old Hali:
“I want to help polar bears and other animals be safe and not let bad guys get them and make sure they get lots of food so they can be around for a really long time.”
