They celebrated their birthday together with a rockin’ dance party.
Ben turned 5: “I want to help people to be healthy!” Lily turned 7: “I want to help people survive!”
Hey parents, you know your kids really don’t need 20-30 little gifts (wrapped and packaged)! Your guests really don’t need to run around to toy stores trying to guess what your child likes. With ECHOage your child gets to be in the driver’s seat. Choose your birthday gifts, choose your charity, choose to help others, choose to be proud of yourself, choose ECHOage. You’ll be amazed at what your child can do (okay, we admit it, you’ll also be pretty amazed at how much easier the whole birthday thing will be on you, too). ECHOage was built by two mothers.
For their birthday, Justin got Bey Blades and Nathan got Spy Toys. Nourish America got $172.12.

When Justin and Nathan turned 7 this year they got the birthday gifts they really wanted. Justin wanted Beyblades so he could have beyblade battles with his Dad. Nathan wanted spy toys because he is training to be a spy. The boys wanted all their friends to come and play laser tag with them, too! And because they used ECHOage, the boys raised over $170.00 for Nourish America making a big impact, at such a young age. “We wanted to help people,” said the brothers. Moms and Dads, we know what you are thinking: Is it really that easy? Can kids really get to choose fantastic birthday gifts for themselves AND give funds away to children in need? Yes. It is. Try ECHOage with your kids and tell us how easy it was for them, too.

Lila raised over $200 for Autism Speaks at the ripe old age of 4. She chose to support Autism Speaks as she has a cousin with autism and wanted to help. Lorri (Lila’s Mom) says that ECHOage provided another opportunity to continue the dialogue about acceptance of others who may act, behave or communicate differently than she does.
Not only are we proud of Lila but Redbook magazine chose to highlight her in their summer issue. Way to go Lila!
Birthday Love – More Sisters Celebrating Together

Siblings, sisters, sharing a cake, a party, a theme, their day, just being together and doing something meaningful. With ECHOage, these two sweet sisters sure did show us what goodness they could bring into the world. Together they raised funds for their birthday gifts: each got a new mountain bike, with gears! And together they raised funds for The Association to Benefit Children, “because we knew that children who are poor, or were sad, needed food and more love.” At ECHOage we are not surprised by the generosity of children like Vivian and Audrey. We see it everyday. What better way to celebrate a birthday, turn a new age, and show your parents and friends what you are really made of.
Sisters share a Birthday Party and give together

They shared their birthday party, chose the same great birthday gifts for themselves, and raised funds for Kids In Distressed Situations – all with ECHOage!
What could make a parent smile more than seeing their children share? These two amazing little girls from Sherman Oaks, California – Julia and Lucy – decided to make their birthday party into something very special this year. They each chose their gifts – Build A Bear! And they each chose a charity – Kids In Distressed Situations. Julia and Lucy – at ages 6 and 3 – believe that children in need could really use their help. They both wanted to make sure that children who are sad, or in need of food, clothing or shelter, would receive some love from them. They both wanted a Build A Bear for their birthday gift because “they are so cozy!” We know that the parents of Julia and Lucy are smiling from ear to ear just watching their children celebrate together but we have to say: here at ECHOage, we are all smiling, too. Look what two sisters can do!
ECHOage congratulates these two leaders for showing all their friends how easy it is to host an ECHOage party, get the gifts you really want, and give to a charity who needs your help. What better way to turn 6, and 3? Happy Birthday Julia and Lucy! You make us all proud.
Meet Emily
Posted: June 19, 2012 | Author: ECHOage.com | Filed under: ECHOage Birthday Parties, Stories about children | Tags: Birthday, birthday gifts, birthday party, birthday party idea, birthday presents, charity birthday, invitation, kids birthday party, parenting | 2 CommentsWhat do wetsuits, clubhouses and cosmic bowling all have in common?
Meet Emily. She just turned 9. And she and her friends had the best time bowling. No shortage of fun at this birthday party. Yet, behind the balloons, the bowling balls and the birthday cake, Emily was helping a little boys birthday wish come true.
“My name is Jesse and I am sick. I wished for a “cool” clubhouse and Emily, ECHOage and Make-A-Wish helped to make my dream come true! Every time I’m in my clubhouse I’m happy. Thanks for helping make other kids’ wishes, just like mine, come true!
If granting wishes and cosmic bowling isn’t party enough, Emily also received a wetsuit from all of her friends. A gift she has been dreaming of getting – made possible – by her friends and family who contributed to her celebration.
Emily shared with us why she chose to support Make-A-Wish for her ECHOage birthday party.
“I chose Make-A-Wish because I thought it would be nice to let sick kids make a special wish and get to do something they really want to do, have some fun and make them feel better and happy!”
Our birthday wish is that the world is filled with more young leaders like Emily!
About all of us

ECHOage is about all of us busy moms and dads who’d prefer to spend time with our kids on the weekends instead of out searching for birthday gifts – again.
It’s about parents like us, who’d prefer to see their kids receive one or two really meaningful, lasting gifts for their birthdays – stuff they’ve been dreaming about, like a new bike, an ipod, a doll house or maybe even a trip – instead of the yearly birthday bounty gone lost, forgotten, destroyed or – dare we say – regifted.
It’s about all of us who believe in making our kids feel extra special on their birthdays, but would jump at the chance to inspire compassion and generosity in them at the same time – if only it were that simple.
It’s about all of us who have made that leap since discovering that it is that simple with ECHOage.
It’s about all of us who are hooked (or will be!) on our multitasking birthday party solution that makes giving and getting equally rewarding to all of our children.
And let’s face, it’s about all of us parents who want less to do and more to celebrate.
At ECHOage, we are modernizing the birthday party experience for both hosts and guests– replacing wasted time, money and gifts with that oh-so gratifying feeling of being a really good parent to really great kids. No compromise (or batteries) required.
